Meditation practices
East & West
While most books on meditation are focused on a particular type of
practice, A Heart of Stillness is one of the few that describes various
types of meditation as well as different ways to work with the mind states
that can arise in the meditative process. It integrates East and West in
a way that helps practitioners utilize techniques from a variety of traditions,
including the root tradition in which they may have been raised. As an
eclectic guide, this book is really useful for beginners and advanced meditators
as well. I continue to use it in my own practice... best wishes, david
