Book Description
A Zen priest and former research scientist looks at quantum physics
and the fallacy of "common sense."
Synopsis
In this warm and witty book, scientist and Zen priest Hagen shows a
way to cut past the illusion of life and see things as they really are.
Using examples from quantum physics, philosophy, and mathematics, Hagen
explains how our dependence on objective reality and "common sense" can
get in the way of the truth. Illustrations, photos, diagrams. --This

Reality and perception
vs. illusion and conception.
HOW THE WORLD CAN BE THE WAY IT IS is about resolving the confusion
between how we imagine the world in our minds and how it actually is. I
see that the book is billed as "warm and witty"; while it has some warmth
and wit to it, it's not a book of humor or sweetness. It's a serious look
at the nature of perception and reality. Readers will also be interested
