This book is still relevant today. 
Although I wrote this book many years ago and in the meantime have changed my mind on a number of issues, it still is a useful discussion of matters ignored in many other books on the Gita. Therefore I continue to recommend it as introductory reading in conjunction with an actual translation of the Gita (such as Radhakrishnan's).
