NAPRA Review
from November/December 1998
Now here is an innovative and useful idea! These 84 cards depicting
various yoga postures are color-coded and numbered so that any number of
practice sequences can be constructed to accommodate the differing skill
levels and goals. Mix and arrange cards anew each time to create new sequences,
or stick with ones you particularly like! The artwork on the cards, reminiscent
of Matisse gesture drawings, depicts the human figure in simple form, with
accent arrows to emphasize detail where necessary. A beautiful affirmation
appears on the front of the card with each posture, while the back contains
instructions and an explanation of the pose. Yoga fundamentals are covered
in the handbook, including basic breathing, simple meditation techniques,
mudra positions, and advice for beginning to advanced students. The whole
set fits in a handy hard-bound slipcase, making it easy to bring along
or to store on the bookshelf. Smart packaging for an excellent product!
