DATA WE COLLECT AND OUR USE OF IT

We employ that data to deliver the functionality of the Service, satisfy your requests, enhance the Service’s quality, conduct research and analysis pertaining to the Service, personalize your experience, keep tabs on how the Service is used, and give feedback to third parties that are listed on the Service. We also use that data to display relevant advertising, promote the Service, offer customer support, send you messages, back up our systems, enable disaster recovery, and increase the security. Even if we do not save such information, it still has to be sent to our servers and kept there for a long enough time to be processed.
Please take notice of
Information about your account: When you create a Bali Life account, we save and utilize the information you input, including your first and last name, email address, zip code, physical address, and any other details you may choose to include, including your gender, phone number, or birth date. As part of your account profile, we reserve the right to publicly display your first name, last initial, and any image or other information you provide when creating an account. To further customize your user experience, we also collect and utilize any choices you provide, such as food and activity preferences. Through your account settings, you may later change some of the information you enter for your account. You may report an account and ask for its deletion if you think someone else has used your personal information to create it.
Public Content: Your contributions to the Service, including your images, ratings, reviews, tips, lists, Collections, compliments, Ask the Community posts, Bali Life Talk posts, and modifications to business page information, are meant for public consumption and are thus available by the public. In addition, some of your other activity through the Service, such as how you vote on other people’s contributions (e.g., useful, funny, cool, helpful, or not helpful), which contributions you like, where you check-in (including when friends on Bali Life tag you in), and how you enter your first name, last initial, city, neighborhood, the month and year you created your Bali Life account, is intended for public consumption. Through your account settings, you may restrict which of these actions are visible.
Contacts: You may invite people to join Bali Life or become your friends by giving us their contact information, granting us access to their contacts on your computer, mobile device, or other third-party websites, or by manually selecting the people you wish to welcome. If you give us permission to access your contacts, we will send data about them to our servers so they can handle your invites.
You consent to receiving communications from other users, companies, and Bali Life when you register for an account or utilize certain services. Your account settings allow you to modify some of your communications selections, but you cannot choose not to receive all administrative, transactional, or legal messages from Bali Life. Additionally, we may keep track of the responses you provide to communications you receive from us or via the Service, including whether you deleted, opened, or forwarded such messages, and we may share that data with other recipients of your messages (for example, to let them know if you have viewed their message). The status of a user’s requests, such as whether a business has responded to the request, the type of response given (such as a quote or a request for more information), and whether the user has responded to any business’s response, may be disclosed to those businesses when a user requests a quote or similar information from multiple businesses through the Service. We may retain any communications you exchange with other users of the Service in order to process and deliver them, provide you control over them, and evaluate and disclose them as part of any investigations into how the Service is being used as well as our attempts to make it better. We may record phone numbers, phone providers, and the date and time that the messages were processed if you send or receive communications by SMS text message using the Service. Receivers of messages may be charged by their carriers. Additionally, we could keep records of the data you provide us in person, over the phone, in writing, by email, and in other electronic means.
